FormScale is a free, browser-based image compression and resizing tool. It allows users to compress photos to a target file size and crop them to common aspect ratios (such as passport or visa formats) entirely within the user's own web browser. No image is uploaded to or processed by any FormScale server.
FormScale is provided free of charge. No account, subscription, or payment is required to use the core compression and resizing features. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features, advertising, or other monetization in the future, but the core tool is intended to remain free to use.
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
We do not guarantee that any output file will be accepted by any specific government agency, passport office, visa portal, exam board, or other third-party system. Requirements vary by issuer and can change without notice.
You are solely responsible for verifying that any photo produced using FormScale meets the exact requirements of the form, portal, or authority you intend to submit it to, including but not limited to file size, dimensions, aspect ratio, background, and image quality requirements.
FormScale's presets (such as "Passport 3:4," "Visa 2:3," or KB size targets) are provided as general-purpose conveniences based on commonly published specifications and are not official guidance from, or endorsed by, any government, embassy, consulate, or examination body. Always confirm current requirements directly with the relevant official source before submission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FormScale and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, opportunity, or application/submission delays, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including a rejected form, application, or exam submission resulting from an incorrect photo specification.
You agree not to use FormScale for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to creating fraudulent identification, travel, or official documents, or attempting to disrupt or interfere with the operation of the Service.
The FormScale name, logo, design, and underlying code are the property of FormScale and its operators. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Service or its branding without prior written permission, except for the personal, non-commercial use of the tool as intended.
This site may display third-party advertisements, including through Google AdSense. FormScale is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any advertisement or advertiser. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms of Service, at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by local regulation.
